09.04.09 [MTV Exclusive] 'Ninja Assassin' Star Rain Answers Your Questions

Pop star/ actor reveals his dream collaborator: ‘Al Pacino is my hero. I want to work with him.

MTV News NA

MTV debuted the first full clip from the much-anticipated Joel Silver-produced action flick “Ninja Assassin” on Friday night (September 4) on “Behind the Screen,” and for anyone who saw it, you can’t say the film won’t live up to its title. Swordplay and stunts galore, even in the heat of oncoming traffic — this one’s got the goods. And at the center of it all, a man who needs just one name: Rain.

The young Korean actor is already a pop-culture phenomenon in his native land. Now, with his first starring role, he seems poised to earn some new fans in the States. Eagle-eye fans of the pop star/ actor caught him in his first studio production last year, in the big-budget spectacle that was “Speed Racer.” This holiday season, it’s all on his shoulders, though, when “Ninja Assassin” hits theaters November 25.

Rain agreed to answer some questions sent in by MTV readers. Here are his answers, just for you: Question: The scenes in this movie look insane! Were you ever injured on set?

Rain: I have lots of cuts on my body. When I was doing a stunt, even though everyone took care of me, I still got hurt a lot.

Question: I heard the training you went through for the movie was really tough. What was the hardest part?

Rain: The diet was the hardest part. I ate chicken breast for eight months with vegetables. That was terrible. No sugar. No salt. I don’t want to eat chicken breast anymore. I like junk food, French fries, hamburgers — I love it.

Question: Is there any action star you’d like to team up with for a movie?

Rain: When I was young, “Scarface” was my favorite film. Al Pacino is my hero. I want to work with him.

Question: Do you sing in the movie? And do you have any plans for an English-language album?

Rain: I don’t sing in my film, and I don’t have plans yet for an English album, but I will. Please wait for me.

Check out everything we’ve got on “Ninja Assassin.”

Robert e Kristen ainda no controle

Real World: Cancun, The Drama Sort of Heats Up

Ah, Cancun, magical land of hopes and dreams and orgies.

Jonna and Aiiya consumate their previously non-present attraction in a threesome with creeper Pat, who gets Jonna to break up with her boyfriend Matt for him despite clearly being gayer than a Backstreet Boy. Jasmine ups her pathetic levels (previously thought impossible, but apparently not) by hooking up with Pat’s cousin out of newfound love? revenge.

Unsurprisingly, when they all see off Pat and Second Place at the airport, Jonna starts immediately regretting her fling. Interestingly, Aiiya does not, implying that her friends who visited might be right, and she might be gayyity gay gay.

First step: Get drunk. Second step: Find a desperate girl.

As Real World: Cancun reaches its conclusion, MTV gets desperate for material and actually shows like five minutes of Bronne’s retarded self-made zombie movie. Really MTV? Really?

MTV realized the depths to which they had sunk (although they didn’t remove that material), so they decided to send Bronne and Derek (forget about him? Me too) with CJ to his NFL audition. But tragedy strikes! CJ and Derek attack a guy for messing with Derek, and the guy calls the cops. CJ begs the question by worrying that his NFL career will be ruined.

Back at the house, Emilee (or whatever the stupid yooneek spelling of Emily is for her) is extremely angry because she’s been living in squalor at the deluxe ME hotel while Bronne & co. got to spend the night in a Vegas hotel. To get back at Bronne, because it is clearly his fault, she goes through his bag, pulls out a couple magazines, and “tap dances” on (aka rips up) one. Maturity, thy name is Eymeelii.

Oh, and there's a new fake roommate (the only truly funny part of the episode). This may or may not be her.

Understandably frustrated by the girl’s inability to not destroy other people’s property, Bronne yells at Aiiya and Oemilei, who fake laugh and insist for at least ten minutes that they don’t care at all. No, seriously. They don’t care AT ALL. AT ALL!

I had previously thought that Eeemilyyy wasn’t every shown because she was boring. Now I’m starting to think differently – I think she was just so crazy that the cameramen were afraid to film her. Our intrepid heroine also decides that she hates Jonna for getting attention from guys, so she continually complains about Jonna and then complains about Jonna not hanging out with them. Logic is not our heroine’s strong suit.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger: Will Bronne repent calling Aiiya Hitler? Will Jonna change her ways enough to get the other girls to like her? Will Jasmine stop being the most misguided person in the house? And could that mysterious stranger coming back be… *gasp*… Joey?!

Düğünlerin aranan ismi: Bedük

MTV Türkiye’nin sahiplendiği isimlerden biri olarak ortaya çıkan Bedük, Türkiye’de yapılmamışı yapınca dikkatleri üzerine çekti.

İlk zamanlarda bu Bedük’ü dinlerken, Reha Muhtar görmüş vatandaş’a benziyordum. Şaşkınlık, afallama ve dumur kavramlarının ortasında kalıyordum. Fakat zamanla Nilüfer görmüş Reha Muhtar’a benzemeye başladım. Hani bir heyecan dolu falan.

Öncelikle yaratıcı klipleri ve kendine has tarzından dolayı Bedük’ü kutlamak gerek.

Than my Baby şarkılarının klipleri…

Bugünkü yazımızı bu blog ile kapatırken, tüm güzellikler sizinle olsun diyorum efenim. Esenle Kalın!

Stevie V - Dirty Cash (Eli Escobar edit)

This one reminds me so much of those days when I explored MTV for the first time. It’s been a good summer in 1990, but while fellows would kick it outdoors, I’d sit in my cousin’s living room and bump MTV day n nite, rubbing my eyes in total disbelief of all the flashy audiovisual dopeness that would rain down on my 11 year old brain via satellite TV. Next thing I know is running out to the recordsto’ to cop 7″s of Paula Abdul, EMF, Bell Biv Devoe, Guru Josh, Digital Underground, Depeche Mode, Sir Mix-a-lot, KMFDM, Technotronic, Guns N Roses, KLF and such. One of the goodies in my bag was this joint by Bedfordshire-based one (two?) hit wonder vocal house trio named The Adventures of Stevie V.

Still lovin’ the hook, still lovin’ the sax. If it wasn’t for Eli Escobar re-editing this fab relict of a vintage MTV era banger, I swear I woulda forgotten.
