Isn’t 16 year old Miley Cyrus just adorable? I’m sure every parent wants their teenage girl to look like this when they get paraded around in front of a hundred grown men with cameras. Oh just in case you don’t recognize him, the creepy old guy posing with her, that’s not her sugar daddy, that’s her actual daddy, as in father, as in man that shouldn’t let his 16 year old daughter go out of the house dressed like that.
now here’s her camel toe and yes Miley Cyrus ass is nude beneath that slinky dress
Recently found myself watching Real World DC because even though I know that every Real World is the exact same crap, I like watching these tools run around some of my favorite (and least favorite) DC haunts. Plus, all that time passing by their house in Dupont and wondering “what does it look like inside there?!” Well now I know. And yeah, it’s pretty cool.
Between Real World & the outrageous Jersey Shore show that profiles Staten Island’s finest to the entire country in a light that has embarrassed Italian-Americans to no end, I didn’t think MTV could get much worse. Then I saw the preview for, and subsequently watched about 20 minutes of, Teen Mom, a show about being one, which my Facebook friends would later tell me was based on a UK show called “16 and Pregnant.”
First let me call something out: MTV is supposed to stand for “Music Television.” It no longer does, nor has it resembled such for years. That aside, I really can’t believe that they’d stoop so low as to create a reality TV drama documenting the lives of teenage girls with babies. Sure, there’s the “if you show the trials and tribulations of teenage motherhood, you’ll prevent others from making that mistake” argument, but let’s be honest, in order to keep it interesting, MTV has to glorify it a little bit, and their target demographic probably doesn’t gap into the whole “i shouldn’t do this” thing. Regardless, in the 20 minutes I watched, one of the girls goes to the doctor, baby in tow, to get birth control so she can keep having sex!!! I mean, hooray for safe sex but isn’t the first bundle of joy enough to keep you from risking another?
I tend to be pretty conservative in a lot of my views around the topic, but I don’t think I’m nuts here… people emulate what they see on TV, especially impressionable teenagers. Whether the intent of the show is to show teens the downside to teen pregnancy/parenthood or not, I’ve got to imagine that the opposite interpretation is just as likely whereby viewers say, “well if it’s okay for the girls who get to be on TV as a result, it’s okay for me too!”
Actually I had an absolutely fantabulous post planned for today but then it happened, the thing we had all waited for. No, Rob did not write a love-letter and confess how much he likes this blog and ask to meet me in person. And no, Alex didn’t either. Neither did Taylor ask me to come to Georgia with him. It’s something much simpler! The Hillywood Show released their New Moon parody! Remember what they did with Twilight? So amazing, one of the best parodies ever! Now they did it again with New Moon and I just love it! I don’t wanna spoil you anything, so watch the video first and then read everything else below!
First thought: Hm, it’s a bit irritating that they jump back and forth the whole time. Second thought: How awesome is that? The P!nk song? Perfect! And Kyle Dayton the guy playing Jacob, I mean… he’s hot. And he has the abs and everything. Then the Bella and Edward running in the woods scene which I always dread to see cause it’s just so bad… Cause what tells you she’s a vamp now? The fact she’s able tu run without stumbling? I love that they included this scene. Plus they got a closeup of Bella’s face where she’s got the eyes and sparkles. That’s a proof, not the fact that she isn’t awfully clumsy anymore! And is it only me or does Edward in this parody really sparkle WAY better then in Twilight? Yeah Catherine, next time you make a movie ask the Hilly sisters how to do stuff like that! Oh and the leather pants are great. This is how Alice looks in that Wide Awake scene, except for the hair. And in the end when Bella rips off the green dress and underneath is the exact same dress Kristen wore at the MTV Awards? Plus the Converse? Brilliant. Yeah, I’m such a Hillywood Show fangirl, I know… I could go on like this forever, cause you know, the video is eleven minutes long so there’s quite a lot to talk about. But instead I’m just gonna shut up now so we can all watch it again! Not that I have already watched it three times to prepare this post, but whatever… Just click play again. Cause it’s hilarious!

Off to watch it again to find out if I want the Hilly sisters to direct Breaking Dawn

So how do you like the Hillywood Show’s New Moon parody? What are your favorite parts? Anything missing you thought they should have included? Do you think Edward sparkles better than in Twilight? Tell us in the comments or via e-mail!
Back to school today with a continuing film class, a new first year music class, and then hip hop with Erin! Hip Hop was a lot of fun especially because it’s not going to kill me (dance centered as opposed to military workout centered). Busy and tiring day but I’m happy to be relaxing with the roomie whilst exposing her to Viva La Bam. Epic!
Also: listen to this British electronic hip hop band! Asian Dub Foundation. They’re pretty sweet.
P. Diddy seems to have gotten so caught up in the new year’s revelry that he accidentally announced he got married. “Juat [sic] married!” he tweeted at about 3:30 am this morning on twitter. Two hours later the musician, whose real name is Sean John Combs, had enough of the nuptial tweeting and announced: “No I didn’t get married !!!!! Pls stop asking!!!”
