The (young) and white trash version of Reese Witherspoon & Ryan Phillipe
So we are about 5 episodes into this season’s 16 & Pregnant. Last season, I watched every episode and wondered to myself why these girls would have chosen these guys that they were with. True, they didn’t CHOOSE to get pregnant with these guys (well, they didn’t use protection so I guess they did), but the CHOSE the guy, period. These guys are immature and lame.
Well, this season’s crop of baby-daddys make last season’s losers seem like dream boats.
These girls must have done some extensive research to find these douchebags. They are the creme de la creme of loser-ism. The first baby-daddy we met is Andrew, a Class A crudball who has been dating Jenelle for 3 years. (Jenelle is the one that looks like a white-trash version of Reese Witherspoon.) Andrew lives far away, but not far enough to keep his sperm away from Jenelle. He spends his free time calling her names, not working and overindulging in Pabst Blue Ribbon. After the baby is born, Andrew is –surprise– MIA. Jenelle later finds out this is because he has gotten (another) DUI and has been in jail. Fabulous.
Then there’s Josh from Episode 2. He breaks up with his girlfriend when she tells him she’s pregnant. Fabulous. She’s devastated, naturally, because apparently a boyfriend who’s been expelled from school, cheats on her and fights with his baby’s mother DURING LABOR is a guy you’d want to have around. Awesome.
Let’s not forget the boyfriend from Valerie’s episode. I can’t remember his name so let’s just call him Douche. She can’t even get this outstanding citizen to admit that he’s the father, despite her plea of “It’s your baby! We had lots of sex and didn’t use anything! It’s your baby!” Oh, Valerie, I can already hear “Jerry! Jerry!” in your future. Amazing.

I think Chelsea from Episode 4 takes the prize for finding the most craptastic boyfriend yet. Adam is insistent that the baby have his last name, and shows a real interest in the kid..for like 2 minutes. He goes MIA and eventually sends this poor girl a text that reads “It’s over for life you fat stretch marked whore, tell me what I have to do to sign over the papers for that mistake.” Fantabulous.
This week’s episode deals with Lori. Her boyfriend seems semi-human but still possesses douchebag-ery qualities. Cory changes his mind whether or not he would like to give up his child like he’s deciding what juice to have for breakfast.
When they agree on adoption and sit down to look at potential families to give THEIR CHILD TO, Cory can’t be bothered, constantly looking at his cell phone and saying “They’re waiting for me at the bar.” Yah, Cory, no biggie, you’re just deciding on a family for your child, it’s not a big decision like which flavor Jello shot you’d like. You better go.
Ladies of all ages, please take note: condoms good. Douchebag boyfriends bad. And when you choose to have a baby with one of these losers, it’s like giving yourself herpes….you’re infected with them for life!

I have been lucky enough to have my work showcased in various places such as Camden’s Proud Galleries, MTV, Computer Arts & Digit Magazine and at Brighton’s Hip Hop Festival. As well as being published in a book that showcased global illustration, I’ve also been nominated for some awards and was a finalist last year for Britvic’s Drench Art Award (ooh get me!).Together we run 10 Yetis, a public relations agency and Petoba Marketing, an affiliate and media agency both based in sunny Gloucester.
Most of my work is mixed media, I use Corel Painter, Photoshop as well as lots of different paints, scans and textures – mostly just playing until I have something I feel happy with.
I discovered a new MTV show called “The Buried Life.” Four friends made a list of 100 things they want to do before they die, and on a cross-America roadtrip they attempt to scratch things off their list (thinks like “Make a speech at a stranger’s wedding” and “Go to a party at the Playboy Mansion”). The cool thing is, while they’re working toward crossing something off their own list, they also ask someone what they want to do before they die help them achieve it (“Get over my fear of heights” or “Reunite with my childhood friends”). It’s funny and inspiring. And of course, it got me to thinking: what do I want to do before I die?
I made a “bucket list” when I was a kid and kept it… it said things like “Get published” (check!), “Marry my soul mate” (corny but check!), “Meet Kirk Cameron from ‘Growing Pains’” (err, nope, not yet!) And I think if I added to it today, I would add:
1- Be a mommy
2- See Europe, especially Paris and The Eiffel Tower
3- Find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe (tried DOZENS!! Suggestions would be appreciated!)
4- Swim with dolphins
5- See NYC with a local
6- Make a quilt
7- Go apple picking
8- Teach a class
9- Drive a convertible along the beach
10- Be a friend
Some of these may seem simple, and they are- they’re just things I’ve never gotten a chance to do and would like to some day. I don’t really have any big lofty dreams… sure, it would be great to write the great American novel or become a world-renowned columnist, but for the most part, I’m pretty content with reveling in the every-day things. I love that the birds and squirrels come to my balcony for their breakfast, that I can wake up every day and do a job I love (even if I’m not in love with my salary), and that if I’m having a bad day because I’m in agony with a migraine that I have someone who is compassionate and loving and will bring me a banana, a glass of Gatorade and my “special” pills. I’ve had great jobs (mostly) and been lucky enough to have taken great friends from each place. Despite the fact that my family is small, we’re devoted to each other, and now that I’m married, I have this HUMONGOUS wonderful extended family I can rely on.
And I think my greatest “bucket list” accomplishment is: Find true friends. It’s only as an adult I’ve discovered what true friends are, but I have a group of the most selfless, fun-loving, caring, wise people any person could ever hope for.
I often say how I hate being a grown-up, because, really, balancing checkbooks and investing in RRSPs and having to make those big, life-changing decisions isn’t all that fun. When I used to play “house,” I wasn’t organizing bills and making doctor’s appointments- I was playing (no wonder I thought being a grown-up was so fun!) But being an adult is downright scary. However, when you know you have a foundation of family, friends, coworkers, spouses, extended family, even a landlord who gets you a wedding gift- well, it makes everything a little easier.
What do I want to do before I die? I really just want to be the type of friend that others have been to me.
This season of MTV’s Real World (in New Orleans) hit a NEW LOW!!! One castmember – a dude named DYLAN came down with a life threatening VIRUS. And he claimed that he contracted it from ANOTHER castmembers PEE!!
Here’s how everything popped off, a police report that shows that officers were called to the Real World Mansion, owned by NBA star Baron Davis. According to the report, excerpts you can see below, Dylan blames Charles’ pee for his infection.Here’s a piece of the report:
[Officers] were dispatched to investigate a disturbance at [MTV’s Real World House in New Orleans].
Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the reporting person Dylan Leslie. He stated that his roommate Charles Roberson put his toothbrush in the toilet, scrubbed the toilet with it, and URINATED on it.
The incident happened because the two got into an argument and they called each other names. Leslie stated that Roberson called him a “fa#%ot” and that he “sucks d*ck”. He stated that his throat started to hurt and got progressively worse and had to go to the hospital . . .
He went to urgent care on St. Joseph St and was treated for a VIRAL INFECTION in his throat. He also stated that he used the toothbrush prior to and after it was placed in the toilet.
Word is that the VIRUS – if gone untreated – may have been DEADLY!!! It’s not clear whether MTVs cameras CAUGHT Charles peeing on dude’s toothbrush, or what CRIMINAL charge Charles faces.
In no particular order, these ladies dazzle us in more ways than the obvious. Here are my picks:

Diane Kruger, one of the stars of the Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, is a true natural beauty. I first fell in love with her beauty when she starred in Troy alongside Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom. She was cast as Helen, if that says anything about her beauty. This German actress has evolved in terms of style, especially at recent red carpet events. In addition, she is always poised and graceful; beautiful both outside and in.
- Natalie Portman -
Always on the fashion hit list, always looking flawless, Natalie Portman is always stunning. This quirky and cute star has us constantly drooling, even when she has a shaved head! Portman has said “I’d rather be smart than a movie star.” She completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Harvard while she was working on the Star Wars films. A vegetarian and a strong advocate for animal rights, this gorgeous girl is featured in some of the hottest films of the decade, and is one of the most convincing actresses out there. She has been nominated and won several awards, and there is rarely (if ever) anything bad written up about her in the tabloids. Born in Israel, Portman is one of the truest beauties and personalities in Hollywood.

RiRi has a fierce beauty, both inside and out. The singing sensation has had her fair share of ups and downs in her personal life, and has come out on top. A strong woman is always beautiful, and it just so happens her exterior matches her interior. She also happens to have killer pipes and is one of the most sought after musicians out there. She can truly make a single a hit. Furthermore, the Barbadian beauty isn’t afraid to take a risk on the red carpet. And whether she is in a tee or in an elaborate gown, she always turns heads.
- Whitney Port -
The star of MTV’s The City, this Californian cutie is a fan favorite for many reasons, her stunning looks are just one of them. Whitney was first known as Lauren Conrad’s sweet sidekick working at Teen Vogue on MTV’s The Hills. Her role on the show began to increase, and she eventually landed the opportunity to have her own spin-off series and move to New York City to work for Diane Von Furstenberg. Whitney now works back at People’s Revolution, where she had previously worked (back in LA again with LC). On The City, we get a closer look at Whitney, and what we’re seeing, we love. She is fun, absolutely adorable, and gorgeous! In addition to her work as an intern at fashion PR company People’s Revolution (owned and operated by Kelly Cutrone), and her reality television role, Whitney has also launched her own fashion line called ‘Whitney Eve’. She is one of the hottest trend setters out there and always looks fresh and fabulous, with a fashion forward yet graceful edge. She is a down-to-earth natural beauty, and thats why we love her!

Undoubtedly one of the first women you think of when you are talking about Hollywood beauty, Angelina Jolie, is more than just a pretty face. Always a hot topic in the tabloids, women love to hate Brad Pitt’s gorgeous partner. A mother of six (three of whom are adopted from different foreign nations) and a UN ambassador, Jolie is known for more than her stunning features. She has volunteered all over the world and donated to several charities, and she works with refugees in the Middle East and Africa. She is one of the most notable stars for giving back and raising awareness. In addition, she is one heck of an actress, with an Oscar and numerous nominations and other awards under her belt, this is one accomplished lady. She also happens to have some delicious arm candy, which makes looking at her and her significant other on the red carpet seem a bit unfair. How can one couple have that much hotness? Smart and sexy, a great family and a loving partner, it seems Jolie has it all. Over the past few years, Angelina has emerged as not only a role model, but as a fashion icon. She was formerly on every fashion miss list, and now she is always on the hit list. She is one of those old Hollywood beauties, unlike the Barbie’s that now parade the red carpets, she has that eternal glamorousness about her. Women around the world envy her for her exquisite natural beauty, she looks absolutely stunning whether she is done up for an event, or playing with her kids sans makeup. Don’t we all wish we could have those lips.

A role model for women everywhere, Kim is an advocate for real curves and real beauty. The obviously gorgeous reality-TV star is famous for her curvy figure, her crazy family, and her flawless fashion. Kim encourages women to ‘flaunt what you’ve got’ and challenges beauty ideals. This Armenian beauty’s famous father represented OJ Simpson, which initially brought her family fame and fortune. Additionally, Kim found fame with young mistakes (like a sex-tape and a Vegas wedding). However, nowadays Kim works hard to earn her place in the spotlight (and her stunning good-looks may help just a bit)! With her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, brother Rob, her mother Kris and Stepfather Bruce, and two step sisters, she stars on E!’s wildly popular Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kim also endorses several products, has launched her own fragrances, helps run the ‘Dash’ boutiques, and much more. She is one busy girl! In addition, Kim is dating Superbowl champion Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints, and they are arguably one of the hottest young couples in Hollywood! Kim is also a role model because, as of late, she rarely involved in tabloid scandals; her close knit family keeps her grounded. Also, Kim doesn’t drink. Many people might wonder why, Kim says, “there is no fancy reason for why I don’t drink alcohol. I simply hate the taste! I really can’t stomach it. I might drink once a year on a special occasion. I am still recovering from last Memorial Day weekend. The smell to this day makes me want to barf! It’s funny tha seems so odd to people that I don’t drink. They all ume I’m sober or had a drinking problem. Nope, I just hate the taste. I never was a drinker.” Thus, Kim is never pictured stumbling out of bars like other stars. Moreover, though she may seem flawless, Kim admits to having cellulite and shows that you don’t have to be ‘perfect’ on the outside to be considered a beautiful sex icon. Cellulite and all, she looks pretty darn perfect to me!

We first fell in love with this reality-TV cutie on MTV’s Laguna Beach. After starring in its first season, Lauren moved to SanFran for a year to go to school. She was featured on the series for its second season, and ended up moving back home and taking on a larger role. The next year, Lauren moved to LA and the infamous series MTV’s The Hills began. The show followed Lauren and her friends pursuing their dreams in the big city. Lauren went on to work at Teen Vogue and People’s Revolution alongside her costar and fellow cali-beauty Whitney Port. After the fifth season, however, Lauren decided to step down from her post as reality television queen, and wanted to experience life without the cameras. Throughout it all, Lauren has maintained her place as a positive role model for young women everywhere. She finished up the show on a high note and began pursuing her other interests, namely writing and design. A FIDM graduate, Lauren has now designed her own clothing line, as well as one with Kohl’s. She has also released two New York Times best selling fictional novels, based loosely on her experience with reality-TV and being young in Hollywood. She has also signed on to make her novels into a movie, and is excited about being on the production side of thing. Additionally, she is a fashion icon, and is currently writing a style guide! A natural beauty, Lauren is vastly different from her former best-friend/costar Heidi Montag, who has made headlines lately for the 10 plastic surgery procedures she underwent in the name of beauty and fame. Lauren proves to girls everywhere that you don’t need DD breasts to be considered gorgeous and sexy. LC is rarely depicted in scandals in the tabloids, and since her departure from the show, she has kept a low profile. Though she is a busy, busy girl, Lauren always handles herself with class and grace, and proves that true beauty can’t be created, it has to come from somewhere inside of you.

Eva Longoria Parker is best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives. She is a stunning actress from Texas, and captured audiences immediately with not only her good-looks, but her charm as well. In addition to her work as an actress, she is also a model, and endorses several brands, such as: Bebe Sport, Hanes, and L’Oreal, to name a few. Additionally, Eva owns restaurants in West Hollywood and Las Vegas, both named ‘Beso’. Last year she enrolled in a Master’s program in Chicano Studies and Political Science at Cal State University, proving that its never too late (and you’re never too rich) to learn something new. She decided to pursue her Master’s because she wanted to have a better understanding of what her community has gone through, since she is heavily involved with the NCLR and realted charity work. She wants to “help create change”. She also was appointed to a bi-partisan commission issued with the task of determining the feasibility of the creation of a National Museum of the American Latino. A working women that stays actively involved in the world around her, this driven beauty is determined and eager. She shows us that perseverance and personality truly make a woman beautiful.

Formerly married to Brad Pitt, Jennifer is a fan favorite, always handling herself with dignity and always remembering that if you’re happy, it shows (and thus we can assume Jen has never been happier). We first fell in love with Jen as Rachel Green on Friends, and since she has acted in thrillers, romantic comedies, and more. She is also involved in several charities (including AmeriCares), and numerous endorsements (including Pure Water). Additionally, she was named GQ’s first ever ‘Woman of the Year’, and constantly tops lists of the most attractive women in the world. She is truly America’s sweetheart, and is always portrayed well in the media, perhaps due to her effortlessly genuine and sweet personality. In addition, Jennifer has been a style icon since she shot to fame, with the best hairstyles and clothes of the time, always. She is a role model to women everywhere, and turns heads no matter where she is. This is not only because of her undeniable beauty (and killer body), but also has to do with her endearing personality and her inner strength.

The biggest money maker in the business, with a voice that can’t be beat, and the kind of beauty that you don’t see everyday, Beyonce is an obvious pick for this list. The American R&B Singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, designer and model shows us how beautiful she is in her many forms. Whether she is performing on stage, canoodling with her husband Jay Z in the south of France, or pictured for one of her many endorsements (including Pepsi Armani, etc), she is always gorgeous. Beyonce (who sometimes refers to herself as Sasha Fierce, her alter ego), has produced a number of this decades chart toppers, including ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”. She began her music career with the group Destiny’s Child, and then pursued a solo career, which has skyrocketed. She also began acting in films, including Austin Powers 3 and the musical Dreamgirls (which received Oscar nods and wins). She shows that beauty is power, and that she has a lot of it. Last year she was fourth on the Forbes 100 Most Powerful and Influential Celebrities in the world. She was also third on its list of top grossing musicians, and number one on the list of Best-Paid Celebs Under 30 with over $87 million dollars in earnings between 2008 and 2009. In addition, her and her husband’s combined earnings makes them the richest celebrity couple. If thats not enough, Beyonce was listed at the end of 2009 byBillboard as the top female artist of the decade! A true Hollywood star, this glamorous gal dazzles fans with not only her good looks and sexy curves, but also with her extraordinarily beautiful talent.

This American idol’s beauty is fresh and natural. The Season 4 winner of the number one television show, American Idol,Carrie, rose to fame on the very stage we’re watching contestants compete on now (in its 9th season). The country singer and songwriter from Checotah, Oklahoma has since become a multi-platinum selling recording artist. She has won multiple Grammy Awards and is the current ACM Entertainer of the year. Her debut album was recently titled the Top Country Album of the Decade, and is the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history. Carrie won America over with her talent and her playful personality. Carrie also recently got engaged to NHL Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, and if her enviable looks aren’t enough, check out her ring. This talented country girl has a million dollar smile, a great body, and gorgeous features. She also has awesome style, and has really made a mark on the red carpet lately (particularly at the Grammy’s!). She is very accomplished already, but I have a feeling this is just the beginning for Underwood; expect big things in the future from this bright star.
