My longest vacation from Wordpress ever

So- a dual major in Communications and English, an (almost) declared minor in Art, being on the executive board of two major organizations on campus, completing 18-credits, working for one of the most influential media mogul’s of this generation, doing schoolwork, and all the random stuff that seems to pop up everyday has had me extremely busy this past month.  Let me update all of you on my life (not that I expect you to listen, or care if you listen for that matter. I’ve just been asked why I haven’t been writing as frequently).

-Last month, I went for a group interview for a Resident Advisor position through EHS (Educational Housing Services) and was called back for an in-person interview, which I did fairly well in. I was unable to apply to Pace’s RA Selection because I was out of state for the interview weekend, but really see this as a way to establish leadership skills outside of campus (lord knows I’m involved with everything on campus anyway). We’ll see where this opportunity takes me.

-Speaking of on campus leadership opportunities, guess who’s an Orientation Leader for the summertime? Yup. Me :) I’m working with an amazing group of people and am really excited for the summertime!

-I FINALLY RODE IN AN AIRPLANE! The entire executive board of The Pace Press attending the Associated Collegiate Press’s Annual Media Conference held in Phoenix, AZ earlier in February. The trip was pretty sweet and an entire post will be devoted to videos from the trip. P.S. We have a new Web site and a new look for the paper, so be sure to pick up a copy!

-POP-TV has been doing a lot of filming. We recently finished a schoolwide Public Service Announcement about leadership and getting involved (since Pace isn’t too famous for having a great sense of community). We’re just waiting on student organizations to send us their logos so we can incorporate them into the video. Also, some cool filmings included the F.I.T vs. Parsons School of Design Fusion Fashion Show and an interview with two of the Penn brothers from MTV’s show, “The Buried Life.” Watch the awesome Kim Bui interview them here.

-I absolutely love my classes. American Short Fiction is my hardest class this semester (just because of all the readings and I’m not the biggest fan of reading), but it’s also my favorite. Now I just need to get to finishing up the readings this week.

-My internship is cool. Check out some of what I’ve been doing HERE.

-It’s warm enough to wear sundresses, so I can look oh-so-adorable once again. Pants are icky.

-Warner Brothers is remaking my favorite movie of all time: The Wizard Of Oz!!! SO EXCITED! Read more about it by click here.

-I get to see my little sister, my brother, and my new baby cousin at the end of the month!!!

More posts soon :) Promise. I’ll never be absent for that long ever again!
