'Criei meus filhos, filho dos outros, meus parentes, agora vou me criar', diz Zeca Pagodinho

'Criei meus filhos, filho dos outros, meus parentes, agora vou me criar', diz Zeca Pagodinho

Eu passo mal.”

Edu Guedes encontra Hebe no jantar do sogrão

Edu Guedes encontra Hebe no jantar do sogrão

MTV's latest reality show is a huge flop

The pooping Rhino show may be MTV's swan song as the aging network fades deeper into obscurity.

The National Reporter
Faced with its inevitable demise because of failed programming and fierce competition from other teen oriented networks, fading star MTV seems to be on its last legs with its most ambitious flop to date, The pooping Rhino show.
“I mean,..it was a Rhino,..it took a dump on the set,..and that was the whole show.” Angry MTV stock holder Wayne Stevens said after seeing the pilot.
“They brought this big Rhino into the studio and turned him around so that his rear end was facing the cameras.” Susan Dickerson said. “Then for the next fifteen minutes they just video taped his rear end as two handlers kept him from moving out-of-place. Finally he let loose with a big disgusting gush of,..well,..you know,..poop. It went all over the place and it stunk awful. And that was it, that was the show.”
Wayne Stevens shook his head in disgust.
“The producer and the director were both jumping up and down all excited and stuff. They thought that this was the greatest thing that has ever been televised.  Then they asked us what we thought about the new show.”
“I told them I was going to be sick.” Susan Dickerson said. ” I left the studio after that.  I am not happy about any of this. I sunk my life savings into MTV stock and this is the best idea they can come up with?”

The pooping Rhino show isn’t MTV’s only recent flop.
Last month they aired one episode of Celebrity pee.
Celebrity pee was supposed to be a candid camera type format where they would take hidden video’s of female celebrities relieving themselves in out of the ordinary locations.
The first episode featured what was allegedly a video of actress Megan Fox squatting down in the rear parking lot of MTV studios urinating in broad daylight with people walking past.

Alleged video footage of Megan Fox urinating in the rear parking lot of MTV studios

Celebrity pee was canceled during the first commercial break and replaced with a repeat episode of The Lesbian dating game.
It was later revealed that the woman urinating in the parking lot was a local prostitute that the producers of Squat and pee hired for ten dollars.
When The National Reporter contacted Miss Fox and asked her what she thought of the incident, she said that she did not see the episode and that she did not know what an MTV was.

//

Killers

Teve tempo para mais uma cover: ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’, do Elvis Presley, cantada antes de Read My Mind.

A primeira parte do show teve um pouco mais de hora, diversos hits, belas projeções nos telões e ‘All The Things That I Done’. O bis foi curto, apenas duas músicas. ‘Jenny Was a Friend of Mine’ e ‘When You’re Young’, um final apoteótico.

How to dazzle Catherine Hardwicke with Robsten

Cathy admiring Robsten, or Rob rather...

I’ve always been one of the Nonstens although I swear I never made fun of the Robstens for thinking Rob and Kristen were toghether. Then I saw the pictures of them smiling at each other and holding hands in Paris. Yeah, Paris, the city of love, I know. So I’m going to admit it now. Maybe I was wrong and they are indeed together. There you have it, I just said it. Hope you’re satisfied now, dear Robstens. But actually I wanted to write this post about something else, so here we go.
I found out that Cathy Hardwicke gave MTV an interview. In case you lived in a dark hole all that time, she’s the one who butchered directed Twilight. So during that interview she said the following:

After I cast him, I told Rob, “Don’t even think about having a romance with her. She’s under 18. You will be arrested.”

So now we finally know! This is the reason why Rob and Kristen didn’t get it on way earlier. Because Cathy Hardwicke threatened to call the cops and send Robert Pattinson to jail. Dear Robstens (only the real fanatics now, if you’re one of the normal ones, please don’t feel offended now!), after hating on us Nonstens because we didn’t want to believe the real-life fairy-tale you promoted so hard I hope you’re going to do your duty now. Aka hating on Catherine Hardi instead of us because she kept those two young actors apart from each other for so long and denied you the proof pictures all that time. Because Rob and Kristen couldn’t show up together in public. Because they were scared Cathy might see them and immediately call the police. So that’s the real reason I bet. And now, let’s have a guess why she extorted our beloved Rpattz!

Catherine Hardwicke, Cougar for life

Well, after pondering everything for about 1 millisecond I come to the following conclusion: She clearly wanted him for herself! (Yeah, who doesn’t?) Because she seems to like younger men, a lot. I found pictures proving that fact. Several. And Robert Pattinson seems to be one of her favorites. Cause on 98.7 % of all the press pics I found she’s staring totally dreamily at him. She’s trying to relive her youth. She wears the clothes of a hip twenty-something even though she’s already 54 years old. To be honest I’m not that a big fan of her, so I had to google how old she is.

A young woman's clothes and an old lady's shoes...

Well, too old for her clothes obviously (Bet she bought them together with her once BFF Nikki Reed with whom she wrote the script for “Thirteen”). Not too old for her shoes though. They look like the wedge-heel peep-toe version of orthopedic shoes for old ladies. And as if that wasn’t enough already, take a look at their color… or no, you better don’t because this might cause eye cancer (*technically false, but you know what I mean…*).

She even invented the famous “Cathy the Cougar down with the kids” red carpet pose which she loves to show to the paparazzi. Looking for a picture for your essay about cougars? Just google Catherine Hardwicke, I promise you’re going to find the perfect one! I did… well, not for a school essay because I left school quite a while ago now. But for this post at least! Why I think Catherine Hardwicke is a cougar? Um, because she is! Just look at that pic where she’s totally enjoying that young guy licking her throat… You cannot deny anything after that!

Okay, and now because I know you all want to see it so badly… Oh yes, you do. Well, at least you don’t wanna miss it, cause you’re so gonna laugh your ass off!  Enjoy the “down with the kids” red carpet pose!

a

Off before my eyes give in from looking at these pics for too long…

Saveyoursoul

a

Wow, writing this post made me really feel kind of 2nd-hand-embarrassed for Cathy Hardwicke…

Robsten? Nonsten? Blaming Cathy the Cougar right now? Imitating the “down with the kids pose”? Getting sick from watching that woman looking at Rob like that ifyouknowwhatimsayin’…? Leave a comment or send us an e-mail!

Betty Faria critica a TV brasileira e elogia Íris Abravanel

“Hoje, me dou o direito de experimentar coisas novas.

Peak Season: Why is this interesting!?

I was never a big fan of the Laguna Beach or The Hills, but it managed to catch me at certain points to grab my interest. I admit that if nothing else is on CosmoTV that I will sit and flick back and forth between The City and The Hills.. but I cannot get into Peak Season.

I don’t understand the concept. Come watch aspiring alcoholics with nothing else to do in life (especially the Lauren girl who clearly is in the beginning stages of alcoholism.) They sit in their houses eating toast, reading their blackberrys and talking about the same group of guys. The SAME group. All of them. And all of them are getting cheated on. By each other. This is essentially a show about incest, minus they’re not related (that we know of.)

I’m willing to bet the next “scandal” is a pregnancy scare. By one of the girlfriends-being-cheated-on-by-their-loving-boyfriend who both loves them one second and is miserable about the relationship by the next commercial.

Is MTV running out of ideas? Or are we really supposed to be drawn to a bunch of drunk teenagers with no aspiration who just happened to land a spot on television? Let’s recap what The Hills, The City and Peak Season all seem to have in common:

Drum roll.

Teenagers with drinking problems that have too much money and free time. These teenagers also seem to have absolutely zero self-respect and must have parents who have either never heard of television, or are hippies.

Is this what we want to see?

Chic Meets Geek

Tech geeks and society chic’s came together for the first official time at the BRAVO Opera Club’s Fall Membership party presented by Chic Meets Geek and held at Automattic Lounge.

This was quite a party with quite a line-up with big names such as Damon Dunn (Former Dallas Cowboy), Mattin Noblia (Top Chef contestant Las Vegas), Randi Zuckerberg (Facebook), Maurice Ramirez (Chief Photographer of MTV) and Matt Mullenweg (WordPress). And talking about line-up, we had quite one going outside of the venue. I felt slightly bad for the people waiting outside, but then I realized for every great event there’s going to be a line, so my bad feeling quickly subsided.

This was definitely not one of the normal art events. With tech demo’s and the amazing Terri Disley playing it up this was one of those BRAVO events that will not be forgotten. My friend Carol Tran was the amazing organizer for the night and she did a fabulous job blending these groups.

There are usually quite a few events specifically gear for the tech or the socialite crews, but there’s never been one geared to blend these two power players all together. I think this could be the event series to do it and I can’t wait for more of these to come. Because while I love attending both types of events if I could attend one that brings the two together and only have to buy one dress that be the best situation.

A díjat a szerkesztőség nevében Maurer Ferenc, a torna közvetítésének szerkesztője vehette át.

Az U20-as labdarúgó világbajnokság október 16-ai bronzmérkőzésébe, a Magyarország – Costa Rica küzdelembe 1,74 millióan néztek bele, a teljes meccset – a korai kezdési időpont (16.45) dacára – 601 ezren nézték végig.

A magyar csapat meccseit élőben közvetítő telesport.hu-n a bronzéremért folyó küzdelembe összesen 30 ezer egyedi látogató nézett bele, egyszerre 10 ezer néző követte figyelemmel a mérkőzést. Teljes kapacitással dolgozott az online adás hátterét biztosító három videó szerver, kihasználva a maximális 3 Gbyte sávszélességet.

Music Video Round-up

It’s not often I feel the need to write about music videos currently doing the rounds on MTV but there’s just too much weirdness going on out there right now that it’d be downright criminal for me not to pass comment.

First off, Jay Sean. Not since Hype Williams did all that shit with spaceships and futuristic liquid fonts in the 90s for the likes of TLC and Janet Jackson have we seen such a distinctive music video style. Yes ladies and gents, I’m talking about the light streaks that seem to be flowing their way through every music video director’s mind as of late.

When done well this light thing can look quite cool, in Jay Sean’s case it looks like some kid who spends way too much time making LiveJournal layouts has been let loose with Adobe Photoshop brushes.

Another way to use the light streak effect is to highlight body parts/bling. Here’s Jay Sean and his watch, argh – too bright for my eyes!

Woah! Now even his crotch has gone supernova.

Next up is Black Eyed Peas and their new video Meet Me Halfway. I don’t know how much this video cost to make but I’m guessing more than Malawi grosses in a year. Aside from that it also looks like apl.de.ap (that name deserves a separate post altogether) has turned into a Jedi Knight/intergalactic Osama Bin Laden who spends his time chillaxing 2 feet above the lunar surace.

Also:

There’s also another worrying trend emerging in music videos; half-arsed lip syncing. The queen of this is Pixie Lott who looks like she’s having a mild stroke in her new video Cry Me Out. She may as well go through the whole video with her mouth shut and just serve up the occasional light head-nodding to show she’s actually alive. Really I think the future of this will be videos of cryogenically frozen artists with a super-loud, super-bass heavy beat being played over the image of their half-dead corpse. Just so they can look ultra laid back. If you can stomach it, here’s the video:

And finally, best still frame face goes to Lil Wayne:

Rihanna Interview on 20-20

Domestic Violence month was in October but we should not talk about domestic violence only in that month.  Rihanna is coming forward and talking about how the incident with Chris Brown affected her and what she feels she needs to do for young girls who may be in this situation as well.  Chris Brown then went on MTV and did an interview as well about what he is doing after being sentenced.  Listen to both interviews and come to your own conclusions about this difficult and escalating problem occuring in our country.

Is Today’s Music Affecting Family Values?

What has happened to the music industry? Looking back at the artists of the past like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Tony Bennett, James Taylor, right up to Michael Jackson there was greatness about them.

Now I realize I have missed many of the great bands of the past, and even a few from today. It is not my intention to leave anyone out of the lists of great artists. Each and every artist is great in their own way, however today’s music seems to be more destructive then constructive.

Instead of singing about loving and respecting women, we are listening to songs about treating them like trash. How do we actually let these songs play on the radio? Now I don’t want to sound like the hoards of media, or some religious groups that condemn today’s music. I do however want to point out the fact that some people cannot tell the difference between a song, and how to act in reality.

Do I feel like music played a part, or contributed to some of our darkest days like Columbine? No, I don’t think music had anything to do with what those two had done. They were listening to the same songs some people listen to too get pumped up for their football game, wrestling meet, or any other normal activity most of us partake in. These kids were outcasts, picked on, and sorry but obviously ignored just as much at home as they may have been at school. How else could they have put together that arsenal without being noticed even a little? I can guarantee you this, the artist playing on the radio did not reach through the speakers and hand them the guns.

The problem now seems to be that the lifestyle portrayed in today’s music has somehow become cool. There is little or no regard for women, police, neighbors, or family members. There seems to be little or no consequences for one’s actions because going to jail is now the cool thing to do and if you have not been incarcerated then you’re not cool. How screwed up is this? I never wanted to get arrested, not only because I did not want to go to jail, but also I knew my father would have all but put me through a concrete wall. Kids today know there are no repercussions for there actions. Parents are no longer allowed to reprimand their kids or they can face jail time as well.

So the songs continue to come out about smacking women, selling drugs, shooting people, going to jail, and drinking at the clubs. Wow, that sounds like a number one hit. Not in my house!

The only hope we have to turn this current mixed up view of life around is to stop promoting it like it is the best way to live. Locked up, stoned, dealing, shooting, and beating on women is no way to live life. We all have our vices, weather it be drinking a little now and then or possibly other things, no problem as long as it is in moderation, and is not your full time job and way of life.

Let me try to explain it another way. For those of you who have kids, and for those of you who don’t, pretend for a minute you are a father or mother of a son or daughter. You love your kids more then life itself, every parent does. You would do anything for your kids, take any pain they feel onto yourself to make them feel better, switch places with them for any reason if you could to save them difficulty or sadness. This is your son or daughter you brought into this world. They are as pure as it gets, they have no understanding of how the world works, no preconceived notions of race or color or what’s wrong or right.

Everything they become and learn is because of us, how we live and what we teach them. They learn just as much by watching us as they do from us telling them what to do and how to do it. They listen to the music we play and the Television we watch. Yes, as they grow up they are introduced to new things through their classmates at school. But the foundation we set from the beginning will always be there. If the foundation is strong, they will be fine. They will like the music of the day, but it will not be their life. Their life will be what we have taught them. They will surround themselves with the right people, and influences. This is why it is important for us as parents to be the biggest role models in our kid’s life.

We need to surround our kids and ourselves with positive influences. From the TV shows we watch to the music we listen to. We need to teach them how valuable life is. They need to know that no matter what the circumstance it is never right to hit or degrade women. Hopefully by doing this at home from the very minute they are born, we can begin to get life back to the way it was supposed to be.

After all, when our time is just about up, it will not matter what kind of car we drove, how much money we had, how many houses, or boats we owned. The vacations we took, it just won’t matter.

The only thing that will matter, the legacy we leave behind will be measured by how well we raised our kids. The people they have become, because of our influences, will be the only thing people will judge us by. That is the true measure of a man or woman, were you strong enough to raise your kids to be good people. Or were you to weak and concerned with the money and material things in life that no one will remember anyway to invest your time in what truly matters?

History on TV - Sometimes Fact is More Entertaining Than Fiction

In March of 2007 an American made action film “300″ was released by Warner Brothers. The movie was a fictionalized, dramatization of the historic Battle of Thermopylae fought in 480BC. Although successful, “300″ was the 24th largest box office opener in history, the movie was awash in controversy from its production style to its historical accuracy. Critics were split worldwide with some loving it and others hating it – there was seemingly no middle ground with this movie.

“300″ opened to the public in Greece to standing ovations and condemnation in Iran. Iranian President Ahmadinejad denounced the film, outraged over the portrayal of the historical identity of Iran. Adding fuel to the controversy, “300″ director Zack Snyder, in an MTV interview called the film 90% historically accurate.

In the film the Persians are depicted as a monstrous, semi-human horde of demonic, magical and weak willed beings. The movie even goes so far as to suggest that Persians were prone to pedophilia and portrays their leader Xerxes, played by Rodrigo Santoro, as an androgynous “God King.”

As for “300″ being historically accurate – an examination of history reveals the movie to be grossly lacking.

The film centers around Spartan King Leonidas’ journey from boyhood to King of Sparta and his education into the Spartan way, but historically very little is known about King Leonidas prior to his reign over Sparta.

The movie is a recount narration by Spartan soldier Dilios played by David Wenham. The character Dilios was actually a Spartan warrior named Aristodemus, the only Spartan survivor from the Battle of Thermopylae.

Dilios is revealed as the narrator in the movie at the end when he is rallying 10,000 Spartans, commanding 30,000 Greeks, as they prepare to avenge Leonidas and the 300. In the movie Dilios is sent home by Leonidas after a battle in which Dilios suffers an eye injury. Leonidas asks Dilios to take a message to the Queen. History tells us that Aristodemus (Dilios) was stricken with an eye infection, along with Eurytus, (not mentioned in the film) and ordered home by Leonidas as they were not fit for battle. Eurytus however turned back and died in battle. Aristodemus was regarded in Spartan history as a coward for not having done the same.

In the film, King Leonidas, played by Gerard Butler, is credited with having provoked the Persian King Xerxes into war by killing his messengers, sent to negotiate terms. When Leonidas cannot get the Spartan council to agree to battle, he formulates a plan to take 300 Spartan soldiers to defend the Hot Gates (Thermopylae), in the hope that their sacrifice spurs the council to send the Spartan army to war with the Persians.

Leonidas, though a true heroic figure in history had very little to do with the decision to hold Thermopylae and absolutely nothing to do with starting a conflict with the Persians. Athenian General Themistocles is due the credit for the battle plan having proposed that the Allied Greek forces block the advance of the Persian army at the pass of Thermopylae while simultaneously engaging the Persian fleet in a naval battle at Artemisium. Furthermore, the Persian aggression was not caused by Leonidas’ actions with Xerxes messengers, but rather was in response to the Persian defeat at the hands of the Athenians in the Battle of Marathon.

The Battle of Thermopylae lasted just seven days, three of these days spent in battle. After the second day, a local resident of the area named Ephialtes betrays the Greek forces by revealing to the Persians a path that leads behind the Greek lines. Leonidas at that time was holding the Persians at bay with a force of nearly 7000 soldiers, which he amassed from various Greek states during his march to Thermopylae, not the mere 300 the movie would have us believe.

Ephialtes is portrayed in the movie as a deformed hunchback formerly of Sparta, whose family left in disgrace because of his physical deformities. Ephialtes offers himself to Leonidas for battle, stating that he has local knowledge of the terrain and wishes to fight as a Spartan and restore his father’s name. Leonidas, though sympathetic, declines his offer, explaining that his physical deformities would compromise the Spartans’ famed – phalanx formation.

The real Ephialtes was from Trachis, a village near Themopylae and was little more than a local who informed the Persian generals of the existence of the path for a reward. He is never compensated by the Persians and is later killed by Athenades of Trachis for an unrelated matter.

In the final hours of the actual conflict, Leonidas defends Thermopylae with 1,000 soldiers; he dismissed the bulk of the Greek army when he realized he was being outflanked. The group remaining with the King were a mix of Thespians, Thebans and of course the 300 Spartans, which were in fact the King’s bodyguards.

The story of Leonidas and the “300″ is one of history’s great last stands and although the movie is entertaining it is not and should never have been, offered as a history lesson on the silver screen.

In conclusion, enjoy the movie on HBO, learn the facts on The History Channel and see them both in crystal clear high-definition on Dish Network.

(Video) Jay-Z Responds to Beanie Sigel Diss Record

Jay-Z Responds To Beanie Sigel

Jay-Z was doing BP3 press in Montreal yesterday. And when asked how he felt about Beanie Sigel’s “diss track” and interview where he says Jay left him high and dry and Def Jam, Hov had some words himself. Check out the vid where Jay explains that some people need to look at themselves. And he can only do so much for a person…

Beanie Sigel No Likey Jay-Z

They were once BFFs, but–like typical rap beefs–sounds like money is breaking them up. Beanie Sigel just released a diss track against his good friend Jay-Z called “I Aint Ya Average”. Hip Hop heads say all this is over Jay not letting Beans out of his Def Jam contract and Jay pickin gup and leaving the label with no explanation. And Beans says Jay is being extra greedy with everything. Sounds like a Diddy move.
Jay-Z even supposedly called the cops on Beans when he showed up at on of Hov’s BP3 tour stops. This ish might just get ugly….

UPDATE: Check out the story for even more details – Shaheem over at MTV did about this.
